Sweetie darling! Patsy and Edina return in ‘Absolutely Fabulous: The movie’. I have loved following the antics of Edina and Patsy since the very beginning, so you can only imagine how excited I am about movie which will be released on this side of pond on July 22nd. In the movie, Kate Moss is presumed dead after Edina accidentally bumps into her, causing her to fall off the balcony into the Thames forcing our fab duo to be on the run. That’s enough for me to head to the theatre!

Defining Mascara by MAKE Beauty

Most of the mascara I’ve used often smudges or leaves prints on my under eye. I decided to try this brand that was recommended from a New York blogger. I am absolutely in love with it, the best part about this mascara is that it’s smudge-proof while hydrating and nourishes the lashes.

Vaseline Lip Therapy, Rosy Lips

I discovered this lip balm while living in Scotland and was heartbroken to find out that we didn’t have it in Canada when I moved back. I would desperately ask anyone I knew to ship it to me or bring it back from a holiday. I even ordered a ten pack on Amazon! At long last, Shoppers has finally come to its senses and begun carrying it. It has the moisturizing quality of original Vaseline, with a touch of pink, and the tin is super sweet. For me, it’s the best lip balm on the market.

Tis the season for runways, cameras, and models; and with Paris and New York Men’s Fashion Week dimming the lights on their catwalk, it’s time for other international fashion weeks to get their shine. Now that you have the ticket to attend the most stylish shows of the world, it’s time to pack and jet off to the next collection overseas.

From sneakers, to garment bags, here are seven packing essentials when travelling to international fashion weeks.

1.Sneakers

nike-white-silver-dunk-sky-hi-sneaker-product-1-11677456-873328677

A comfy pair of sneakers are essential when packing for international fashion weeks. Whether your jet-setting to Milan or conquering the concrete jungle in New York, having a pair of sneakers handy, that can be worked with your day and night attire, are perfect to throw in your suitcase when needing a break from your stilettos or oxfords.

2. Dressy Shoes

grey-round-toe-high-chunky-over-the-knee-boots

Whether you opt for trendy thigh high boots, classic stilettos, or patent oxfords, carrying a pair of dressy foot wear is a must when attending any fashion week event. Having your dressy foot wear in tow when attending shows is great when wanting to make a statement with your outfit, and catching the lens of all the paparazzi and fashion photographers outside.

TIP: Carrying one dressy foot wear in black and another in a fun colour or print, is best when wanting to change outfits and alternating looks.

3. Garment Bags

Packing your attire, and shoes, in garment bags are very important when globe-trotting. Keeping your delicate clothes safe is essential because you want to avoid any damage to your clothes on your way to and from your destination. Garment bags for your shoes are also necessary for delicate fabrics to prevent scuffs and scratches.

TIP: If your shoes didn’t come with a garment bag, you can put them in a durable cloth grocery bag.

4. Basics

260klr-i

If you’re personal style isn’t the popular minimalist fad don’t stress, packing basic clothing essentials, such as white T-shirts, white oxford button down shirts, black and white camisoles, blue jeans, are key when wanting to layer and mix and match looks. Also, packing basic clothing can save on packing because you have less to pack and more options to switch-up looks.

5. Jumbo Toiletry Bag

238059_1_1

Packing all your toiletries on a big toiletry bag saves a lot of room in your suit case when packing. Categorizing all your toiletry essentials in different bags before putting them all in one big toiletry bag is quick and simple when wanting to find what you need, and packing everything up when you’re done.

6. Bags

8919277764638

Packing three different bags is great when attending multiple shows. You would need one big tote bag as you dash through the airport to catch your flight, which will also hold a lot of your main needs. You then pack a cute cross body bag that can double as a hand bag when attending the shows, that way it’s easier to grab your phone to snap great pictures. Then lastly you pack an uber chic clutch for going out in the evening. Having bag options is great because they all serve different purposes and accessorize any and every look.

7. Steamer

Jiffy-0601-Black-ESTEAM-Handheld-Travel-Steamer-P11943514

Bringing a hand-held steamer along in your suitcase is a must when travelling to fashion week. Always wanting to look your best, a hand-held steamer not only gets out all wrinkles, it is also the best alternative to the classic hot iron because it doesn’t cause damage to your delicate fabrics and is more functional to use. Can be easily stowed away in a vacant space in your suit case, a hand-held steamer is a light weight essential and that doesn’t take-up a lot of packing room.

TIP: When steaming your clothes, its best to steam underneath the garment as opposed to the top. The heat reacts better when in an enclosed space and faster to heat up.
