CMW 2015 Review: Lady Lamb & Luke Rathborne

Luke Rathborne

Luke Rathborne

It was as if we entered the 1970s when Luke Rathborne performed at the Garrsion on Saturday night. Luke and his drummer, from Maine, exuded a Dazed & Confused vibe, and played a passionate show with some killer guitar, drums and psychedelic vocals. The singer’s connection with the audience was humble and charming, revealing how they almost didn’t make it to Canada due to a hilarious border patrol setback, but we’re glad they did. They were so good that the crowd even started throwing loonies and toonies, which first started off as a joke on how he’d accept a loonie for his album.

Lady Lamb

When Lady Lamb came on stage, people couldn’t get enough. Whether you were a fan prior to the show or just heard about her that night, the band’s performance amazed the entire crowd, who couldn’t help but chant an encore at the end of the performance. The band from Maine put on a mesmerizing show and the lead singer’s vocals were unique and enticing. The lyrics to every song were genuine and relatable, which is no wonder why her fans resonate to her music.
